For over 25 years, Catherine has been a Family Therapist, Workshop Trainer and Adjunct Professor, working in agencies, the university setting and her own private practice. In 1999, She was excited to add Personal/Professional Coaching to her multi-faceted work repertoire. She is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California, having received her MSW from U.C. Berkeley in 1980. Her Work Passions . . . Her reputation for excellence has kept her work alive and flourishing. In recent years, she has become known for her dynamic individual coaching and leading of teleconference groups on those subjects she studies and lives with passion: * Designing a Balanced Life * Meaningful Time Management: The Practical and the Profound * Rituals: Daily Living Rituals and Celebrating Passages * For Women: Creating Peace, Passion and Purpose in Midlife * Successful Parenting in Our Modern Times * Coaching Action Groups for Coaches and Therapists Training Others . . . She is an adjunct professor in the graduate psychology program of John F. Kennedy University, a group trainer for Martin Seligman's international Authentic Happiness Coaching program and a former trainer for Ben Dean's Mentorcoach Program which trains therapists to be coaches. A Former Dancer . . . A former modern dancer and choral singer, Catherine now keeps her creativity alive with learning and teaching international Folk Dance to children and families. She is also committed to a social action project she helped organize called "Creek Kids Care" which involves children making art cards that are sold to the public to help fund the local Homeless Respite Center. Her 15 min. of Fame . . . As a celebrator of passages, she had her own big, wild idea and initiated the art of belly casting to celebrate the pregnant form for Moms-to-be; she was surprised to get called in 2001 for an interview by The Wall Street Journal about belly casting, never imagining she would land on the front page. Personally Speaking . . . She found her wonderful soul-mate late in life and has 2 vibrant children who joyfully and constantly challenge her to keep her own life balanced. |
